Here is a great activity to do at home. Create a beautiful painting in the snow. Take a picture of it.  Then have your child tell you  a story about what they drew.  Write down their response.

The Mitten Read Aloud

We will be listening to and reading Jan Brett's the Mitten.  See if your child can sequence the story or predict what will happen a the end.

During December we compared man of versions of the Gingerbread.  We learned about setting and characters. Ask your child what was their favorite and why.

During the month of January we will be learning about Winter, Snow, Snowmen, and Animals in the winter.  Here is one of the books we will be reading.  It is called The Snowy Day, written and illustrated by Ezra Jack Keats, and published by the Viking Press Company 1962. We will be looking some of the adventures Peter goes on in the story.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

We learned about good for us foods.

Last week we  painted with potato mashers to make some really interesting patterns and designs.  We also made some healthy food cornucopias by cutting out good foods from flyers.  Ask us about thumbs up healthy foods.

We keep watching our pumpkins in the outside gardens.  They are both rotting and getting yucky.  The Morning class's is getting squishy according to the kids.
